My name is Michelle Switzer. I run a business called Winning Softball that empowers young girls to reach their highest potential in life and in softball. I virtually coach thousands of softball players and coaches around the country. I am a public softball figure for my area of Buffalo, New York. I organize conferences for adult softball coaches and run camps for softball players including the best and one of the largest catching camps on the East Coast. I coach a high school softball team in the area of which I live and have taken girls to other parts of the world to play softball.
My mission is to help to make girls feel more strong, confident and comfortable in their own skin while teaching them lessons that they can take with them to make them more successful individuals. On top of that, I am an eighth grade health and physical education teacher valuing healthy choices as the fundamentals to success among the next generation. I am 30 years old and advocate for balance in people’s lives. I have dedicated my life to empowering women through my career choices.
I am the CEO of Winning Softball, an organization designed to help girls reach their highest potential in life and in softball.

I played Division 1 softball in college at Canisius College in Buffalo, New York where we won the MAAC championship and participated in the NCAA tournament twice, playing on the most successful team in the softball program’s history. During my senior year as a Golden Griffin, I was an All-East Coast Athletic Conference Regional Catcher and an ESPN Academic All-American Catcher while setting the RBI record at my school.
In high school I set a New York State record that I still hold for hits in a season while also earning Louisville Slugger All-American honors. During my time in high school we won 2 state championships with one perfect season.
The idea behind Winning Softball all stems back to my high school coach, Mr. Gerry Gentner. Out of the goodness of his heart he gave all of his knowledge, focus and love to furthering this sport and investing in the lives of me and my teammates. Without his help and guidance, I would not have had the opportunities that I had in my life. My goal is to take his same idea and implement it on a grander scale. I wish to reach as many girls as possible to have the same opportunities that were given to me by providing a wealth of wisdom for girls to gain confidence and to tap into their potential as athletes and life learners.
I am a firm believer that the sport of softball can help girls to gain confidence and learn to be better individuals. I also believe that girls can learn to be winners in softball by having a cohesive team goal, having a growth mindset through acting as students of the game and forming a spirit of togetherness among the team.
